Seventeen years in procurement, warehousing, distribution and commercial management, at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Kayo Foods, Tate Industries, Air Liquide, ALUMCO and Crown Agents.
Pioneer Executive Secretary and then two elected terms as Chairman of Ojodu LCDA in Lagos. His colleagues also elected him to lead all 57 Lagos council chairmen.
Elected for Ikeja Federal Constituency and returned at every election since. Chairman of the House Committee on Finance since 2015, having previously chaired Anti-Corruption, National Ethics and Values.

He has chaired Anti-Corruption, National Ethics and Values, and served on Public Procurement, Public Accounts, Interior and the House probe into petroleum subsidy.

Prince Abubakar Audu, a former governor of the state, chose him as running mate on the APC ticket. Faleke campaigned hard across all three districts and brought chairmen and ward structures with him.
The ticket led with 240,867 votes against the PDP total of 199,514. Then Audu died while results were still being collated. The votes were transferred to another candidate and the challenge Faleke took to court did not succeed.
He did not defect, did not incite anybody and did not trade the moment for a settlement. He returned to Lagos, to his constituency and to his committee, and carried on working. That is the character this network was built around.
